A sewer scope camera inspection is a great tool we utilize to take the guesswork out of what is happening in your septic system and drain lines.

How Does It Work?

During an inspection, our high-tech camera is attached to a cable that can be fed all the way down your drains and into your sewer system. It will record the depth and location of any obstructions by utilizing radio transmitters, in addition to the actual camera. This allows us to precisely diagnose the problem, and apply the solution accordingly.

Items that may be discovered include pipes that are:

  • Clogged
  • Bellied
  • Crushed
  • Disconnected
  • Cracked

After we resolve the issue, a follow-up inspection will allow us (and you) to see and confirm that the problem has been addressed, giving you the peace of mind that your system is good to go once again.

Why Have a Sewer Scope Inspection?

They’re Non-Invasive

Instead of digging a trench and destroying your landscaping, we can feed our cameras directly into the sewer line, pinpointing what is wrong. This saves you the mental fatigue of seeing your yard destroyed, is more accurate, and labor costs associated with digging and refilling a substantial trench.

They Detect Root Intrusion

This can be a tough one. We love the shade and beauty trees provide in our landscaping and in our lives. However, it’s a problem when the roots of that lovely tree in your yard start affecting your plumbing.

Most people know that roots can grow into a drainage line. However, the roots of trees and shrubs are also naturally attracted to the moisture in your sewer and drainage lines, as the lines act as a kind of natural fertilizer. These roots can grow around or into the line, causing severe leaks and clogs.

They Detect a Range of Other Sewer Line Problems

No matter how far down your issue is, a sewer scope inspection can detect what is happening. From extensive clogs causing foul odors, to pipes that have broken, a sewer scope will find it.

They Prevent Property Damage

It’s not what any homeowner wants to think about, but some sewer line issues can threaten your health and property. If you have toxic sewer water backing up into your home, business, or even landscaping, you can suddenly be figuring out a rather serious health hazard.

By utilizing a sewer scope camera inspection, we can identify a vulnerability before it becomes a massive problem. Depending on the issue at hand, you may be able to correct the issue rather painlessly through something like hydro jetting.

They Proactively Look at the State of Your Pipes

Even if you flush only what you’re supposed to and act as a model citizen, pipes will simply accumulate gunk. It can be from a variety of things, such as:

  • Soap scum
  • Hair buildup
  • Congealed grease
  • Trash
  • Scaling
  • Food particles
  • Mineral buildup
  • And more

By inspecting it with a specialized camera meant for the job, we can keep an eye on the condition and health of your pipe walls. We then assess what sort of care they may need.
